The Woods

The Woods is a 16-page (including the front and back cover) black-and-white illustrated zine. This zine is a short exploration of one of my original character's backstories as a "Final Girl" archetype that describes his evolution from slasher survivor to slasher.

The themes in this zine are death, survivorship, and cycles of violence. It contains violence and some graphic content, such as blood and some gore.

This zine was originally designed to be printed as a physical zine on 1 sheet of letter-size paper. The illustrations are designed so that there's symmetry across each corresponding opposite page, which is difficult to see in the digital copy. I've included a download of a printer-friendly version in case you would like to print, fold, and cut a copy for yourself (2-sided printing, flip on the short edge).
